I was wanting to ask you a question but wasnt sure the best place to put it. There is a way on here to personally message you or email you. So here is my question. With there being so many companies out there that sell protein powders, whey etc what are things to look for in a protein powder to know that its good. Cause I have looked at Beach Bodys, Melaleuca’s, Visalus, It works global, Synergy etc etc they all have supposedly a good one so what do you look for when comparing them…
You want to look for a cold-processed, minimally processed whey from grass-fed, organic cows. This whey maintains the full range of fragile immune boosting and regenerative compounds present in raw milk. you don’t want any added sugars or artificial sweeteners (they are very sneaky about slipping these in almost undetected unless you are very savvy). Acceptable sweeteners are xylitol or stevia. My favorite brand is Designs for Health. I especially like their PaleoCleanse whey powder because it supports liver health and hormonal balance which need to be addressed if weight loss is the goal or inflammation an issue. This kind of high quality protein powder is more expensive, but then again, you get what you pay for!
I’m sorry to report that the only thing I’ve learned on that subject matter so far has been negative. They just warned of too much protein at once over taxing the liver. I’m sorry I don’t know more! Hopefully one day I will and when I do, if you’re still interested, I’ll let you know!
Thanks for visiting my blog The coincidence that we are both late twenties models and studying Nutrition and we have a Jack Russell is great! haha Great mind think alike, right?
You have some very good information on your blog, it’s giving me a lot of deas for articles. I’ll be sure to stop by again! And thanks for liking my article on counting calories. Having a future nutritionist’s support is very reassuring to my health and science writing
hi. thank you for liking my post and stopping by on my blog.. hope to get more inspiration from you. i just wanna ask… what’s the best time to have exercise, is it before breakfast or after breakfast? i eagerly to loose weight. thank you so much )
Hello! During exercise your body moves blood away from your digestion to your muscles and that slows digestion and can cause discomfort. What time of day do you prefer to workout? If I’m doing an easyish workout like elliptical or some light lifting I go before breakfast. If I’m doing something harder like a jog I go a few hours after breakfast or I’ll have heartburn, but if I don’t have some fuel it’s a much harder jog. Hope that helps a bit! My yoga teacher also told us we shouldn’t eat anything solid an hour and a half before our workout there.
Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog, and I look forward to following yours!!! I loved your post on beets – I was just having a conversation with a friend about how much we loved beets but rarely cooked them.
Is it you in ‘red’ nail polish in third picture
Yes that’s me in a recent wedding fashion spread for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Very nice
